    So, did it helped because you got the door frame pulled tighter against the edge leaving room for the door? I have this problem and I think your method will take care of it.

    This panel system is alot different from I I stall here. With ours we get them made in shop and they have a bunch of supports everywhere and then the clip system is built in where you just have to slide the clips into little channels instead of screwing right to the panel otself

    DO NOT DO THAT! Saw or grinder cut with friction that will burn off galvanized coating… without it all the cuts will rust in no time.

    25 years in commerical sealants and i have to say thats a Great bead but i have a few suggestions. Your backer should be roughly half as deep as the width of the joint. Spray foam is problematic if you dont let it fully cure. The soap solution if a good finishing step but should never be used as the only tooling method. Wetting the joint before dry tooling can prohibit adhesion even though it looks sealed. Pro tip- you only need a small amount of soap in water and a spray bottle makes it way more user-friendly.

    Have a question for you, how real caulkers do it here in Phoenix Az. during the summer months when temperatures are above 115° or more during the day...?

    • @LeftoverCA
      @LeftoverCA 5 місяців тому

      not sure what they use there. But the problem was i did the caulk in the shade and when the sun hit my dark panels they became extremely hot . May be they don't use aluminum panels in the extreme heat regions. Now i am using a bit different product when i need to caulk dark panels- Dymonic FC (fast curing). And trying to do that late in the day so it cures during the night.

    That's pretty good. The only thing I'd add would be a watertable at the base with the bottom trim retuning all the way to the back so the color of the trim is exposed. That way the backer-rod and caulking wont be exposed.

    Oh yeah, it was the sun on a hot day that made all his caulking look like absolute Shit And Not the Dish Soap diluted No Tooled finger fucked lick and stick flim flam How the F is this Complete Wanker getting these big jobs? Maybe get someone who actually knows how to caulk? Why if there’s No Inspector and No Standards anymore apparently

  • @toecutter1015

    You absolutely cannot leave the film on the metal panels instead of taping ( if you’re not a real caulker and have to tape?) when you pull the film you break the seal on the caulk and that’s only going to make it even harder to look perfect and this guys caulking is absolutely Brutal by real caulkers standards ( and I’m not talking top gun level, that’s a whole other thing) I’ve caulked those exact same type of metal panels and I know that they’re not as easy as they look . You have to be able to tape a perfectly straight line left back a tiny fraction otherwise you will do exactly what this clueless guy is doing When he pulls the film he wrecks the edge of the caulking and break the seal and then wet tooling dish soap and finger fucking Only in Woke Broken No Standards No Inspector USA
